David
Page developed his artistic talents later in life, passing
two art foundation courses in the early 1990s. He then attended a two year
full time course
in Portrait Painting at The Heatherley School of Fine Art, Chelsea, London
from where he obtained his diploma in July 1996.
David paints in all media: figurative work from life, landscapes, still life and urban landscapes.He is happy to accept commissions in any of these areas. He has travelled extensively and much of his work is inspired by these travels.
He was re-judged at The Royal Society of Portrait Painters Exhibition at The Mall Galleries, London in 1995.
He has his own large studio at home in which most of his work is undertaken and sold. He also tutors on board cruise liners.
His first solo exhibition was in 1998; his paintings hang in the USA, Bermuda, Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom, France, South Africa, Hong Kong and Australia.
David is a founder member of the Great North Art Show which holds a prestigious annual art exhibition in Ripon Cathedral each September. He is also chairman of the Sharow Photographic Competition held annually in April.
